How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!  How great is the sum of them!  Psalms 139:17.

This verse comes from a Psalm of David.  It seems he is amazed that God thinks about him, and he holds that idea in his heart.  God thinks about all of us, and He intends to bless His children.  In Jeremiah 29:11 we read that God thinks about giving us peace and bright futures.  In Psalms 40:5, David says that God's thoughts towards us "are more than can be numbered."  How much do you think about God?  I guarantee you it doesn't come close to how much He thinks about you.  There is a blessing promised when we turn our thoughts to God.  The prophet speaks of this promise in Isaiah 26:3 when he says, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed upon thee."  It only stands to reason that if God things about us so much, He would like us to think about Him often.  Pastor John
