If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The point that best gets my attention in this verse is that even though we have a necessity for humility, prayer, and turning from wickedness, God still calls us His people. In other words, He is still our Father, He hasn't disowned us. He still longs to hear from us and fellowship with us. We are truly a prodigal nation even though we were founded on Godly principles. Our Faither longs to renew our relationship and receive us back into His good graces. Pastor John.
