And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.
God does not call us to do a work that He will not lead us in and empower us to do. Bryan Cutshall, author of Get Up, Get Out, Get Blessed says, "God is trying to mold our character. He is more interested in the finished product than in the comfort of a single day." When the Apostle Paul penned Romans 8:28, he was not suggesting that all of the things that "work together" would necessarily be good or pleasant things. Like a giant jigsaw puzzle, the portrait of who we are is formed in the divine plan for our lives. Each circumstance we encounter may not seem to have a significant purpose, but when God writes the final chapter He will pull it all together with two words: "Well done!" Pastor John
