Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised.  Hebrews 10:23.

I have this thought about faith:  If we are going to profess it, we must possess it.  This is what the author is saying in this verse.  There are  great rewards for clinging to and walking in our faith.  God is faithful to make every promise in His Word a reality for us.  Hebrews 11:6 tells us to follow God in faith for "He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him," but "without faith it is impossible to please Him."  We please the Lord when we follow Him - especially when we don't know where He will lead us.  Our Student Ministries are in the Not a Fan study now.  As we encourage them to be followers of Christ and not just fans on the sidelines, we know that it takes courage to be true followers of Christ today.  Let's hold to our faith and follow Christ, for His promises are ours to receive.  Pastor John
