And they continued steadfast in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
This verse speaks of the unity - the connection - the New Testament Church had within its ranks. They Pentecost experience not only brought the people into ta combined anointing, but into continual connection as well. As pastor of Harbor Life Church, my desire is that we all live with that same spirit of unity, being connected in ministry, worship, outreach and love. In 1 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul brings out the truth of what we are - the body of Christ. We are to be a body of believers connected to the power of the Holy Spirit, connected in His presence in worship, and connected to function in each unique calling God has for us. If you've been puzzled about where you fit in - where you can get connected - you may find the place where you belong and where you can make a difference.
