God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Cor 5:21
This is an amazing verse to me. It causes me to think beyond what the words are saying, and take what Jesus did for me very personally. He took my sins which were many, and He took them to my cross, where He died. The guilt, the shame, the trial, the verdict, the execution, all of this, He took. I should have been crucified, but Jesus was instead. This is true for everyone present at Harbor Life Church, (and everyone in the world, for that matter). I love Jesus for what He did for me, and that love brings me to this question: If my sins demanded God's Son, then what does God's righteousness demand of me? Thank God for His amazing grace and the Blood of Jesus - the workings of the greatest love ever. Pastor John

1 Corinthians 15:19
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are all men most miserable. 1 Cor 15:19.
The old hymn states, "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name." These lyrics are a testimony to the writer. To only hope in things of this world is fruitless. To hope in Christ is to have hope beyond our present existence. God blesses and keeps us in this life as we stand upon His Word. This is awesome, and I love how God works in my earthly life. Yet, the blessings here cannot compare to the blessings there. I thank God daily for the bright future we have with Him in the eternal Heaven. This world is but our stopping-off place. We can hope in Christ, for beyond this life we will one day be at home.
