For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringeth into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Cor 10:4-5
This is encouraging scripture as we face a New Year. We do not know everything that 2012 will hold for us. 2011 held many things that we did not expect - many were tragic anddevastating. However, these verses affirm the truth that God is still in control. Whatever strongholds the enemy may have planned for you this year, God can pull them down and cast away all things that would distract you as you walk with Christ.
