Anyone who wants to be my follower must love me far more than he does his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers or sisters - yes, more than his own life - otherwise he cannot be my disciple.
The love that God has for us is incomparable with any other love. If we use God's love as a gauge, earthly love seems insufficient - incapable of measuring up. It seems it's impossible for us to love at God's level. That is why God's grace is so precious. Through God's grace, our love is magnified. If we love God first, our love for others actually increases by divine amplification. Through grace, our love measures. up.
