BUT GOD commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I love every verse of scripture that begins with the words BUT GOD. There is always a needful truth that follows those two words. This verse, in particular, speaks the loudest to me. I was a sinner, but God loved me anyway. I deserved nothing, but God gave His best for me. Satan thought he had me, But God rescued me. Sin had me bound, but God set me free. I was lost, but God sought me out. I was destined for hell, but God changed my destiny. I was hopeless, but God gave me hope. All these things and much more are implied in this great verse from Romans. Always remember: you may be facing many trials and issued of life, but God has a counter-strength to defeat anything you could encounter. Pastor John
